DESCRIPTION

Double Splice Tapes are used to join SMT component carrier tapes. Supplied in pre-cut strips of

PET tape, use without the splice tool and clip. Each piece has 10 embossed dots on either side to

help align with the carrier tape. Three kinds of anti-static, half anti-static and non anti-static.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Use the cutting tool (MTL20/MTL30/MTL40) to accurately cut the carrier tapes.

2. Place a splice clip (teeth up) on the splice tool’s placement pins.

3. Center both cut carrier tapes on the pins, and secure with the clamps.

4. Crimp the handle to connect the carrier tapes.

5. Remove the release liner of the splice tape to reveal the adhesive side.

6. Fold over the tape strip onto the cover tape and press firmly.

7. Remove and discard the clear plastic cover to complete the splice.
